Edward here from 101ChristianNetworks – previously known by most Christians around the world as Fusion101. It has come to our attention that several – no many unscrupulous Webmasters or stooges of greedy folks out there hoping to cash in and gain from 101ChristianNetwork’s hard work over the last 20 years are trying to spoof our free Christian Dating site (or damage 101’s ‘brand’). They are doing this by spinning up many sites using free website creator websites and doing what’s called ‘scraping our content (like text from our home-pages or other pages).

It’s no security issue (except to affect 101’s good name) but makes finding our pages harder on web searches

Now whilst this does not present any threat to our members – it DOES make finding the 101 login pages and Fusion 101 Register and join and sign in pages very hard to find online as our legitimate pages are being pushed down the Internet search engine search results. And there we were wondering why people were not logging in as much at the moment. Well now we know it is this among other things we are working on mitigating.

As it happens – this is not new to Fusion101. I have had my site ‘cloned’ many times even by one Christian lady who denied this for several back and forth conversations but eventually had to admit (since the text had been scrapped word for word from text I had painstakingly written). Once my entire Christian dating guide which took me months to write was swiped and put up on a stand-alone website. I had to scurry around to get it removed which eventually Y’hoo and others did from their search results.
